Car Racing games basically have some cool and unique techniques hidden in them. But no car racing game is complete without a drift. Drifts are the baseline of the skills required in car racing.
What is a Drift?
In simple terms drift means to be carried along or moved by the water or wind. But in terms of car racing drifting can be described as the driving technique in which the driver does intentional oversteers with controlling the car properly and driving the car through the entirety of a corner.
Simply, drifting is a skill to turn the car without losing much speed in such a manner that the car remains in control of the driver. While drifting, the pressure is maximum on the tires of the car leaving behind black trails of tires rubbing with the race-course due to friction.
So how can Forza Horizon 5 does not have a drifting challenge? There are basically zones made specifically for drifting in the game called “Drift Zones”. These Drift Zones are the part of Horizon Rush PR Stunt series of the Horizon Adventure Campaign.
There are a total of 20 Drift available on the Forza Horizon 5 map. You can also filter them on the map according to your choice to make it easier to find them or to concentrate on completing them all.
To indicate the starting and endpoint of a Drift Zone, each zone is marked with small notches on the minimap to indicate the starting and finishing point. And all the Drift Zones routes are marked with Blue Flags on both sides of the road, to make the path clearer.
For unlocking all the Drift Zones in Forza Horizon 5, firstly you will need to complete the Horizon Rush PR Stunts series expedition. However, you won’t be able to access any of the Horizon Rush activities right once when you first start playing Forza Horizon 5.
So put your all focus on completing other tasks first like Horizon Festival Mexico, Horizon Apex, and Horizon Wilds races. While doing these challenges simultaneously check on the Horizon Rush series as well. So if you get a chapter unlocked early on in this series, then you will be able to explore and complete the full expedition as soon as you want.
Once the Horizon Rush series opens up for you, then you’ll need to unlock the Full Moon Party Canyon Expedition with a Horizon Adventure Chapter unlock. After that, proceed to the Canyon Expedition mission location and finish the mission, which requires you to drive an absurdly large parade float.
By completing the expedition, the Horizon Rush post will be established and you are eligible now for Horizon Rush PR Stunt activities. Jaimin will show you loads of new Pr Stunt activities like Speed traps, Speed Zones, and Drift Zones on the map, which you are fully accessible to test and take over the roads.
This is the way to open the PR stunt adventures in Forza Horizon 5, not let’s look at tips to complete the drift zones with ease.
As Forza Horizon 5 adventure campaign works with Accolade points, there is no need to complete the drift zone for points. Drift zones are basically made to improve the skills, control, and fun. These are very entertaining and fun activities.
Though there are starting and endpoints of the drift zone, but in the game, you can choose to start and end the drift zone from whatever point you want. There is no foundation of points in the game. But doing the drift challenge both the ways is quite a great idea as you will get to know what it feels like driving the same route from different points and it could be difficult too if one end lies in down-way and another one lies in up-hill. But overall it will improvise your skills to a greater extent for sure.
The next tip is to keep in mind is which driving assists you to have ‘on’ or ‘off’. Turning off Traction and Stability Control makes drifting considerably easier in general, as these two settings strive to keep your car steady, which you don’t want when drifting. Because drifting needs the car to turn in the intended direction and if these two things are turned ‘on’ then they will prevent this from happening.
Keeping these in mind you will be able to dominate and rule over the Drift zones by improvising your skills.
